Only tried the spa area. Just incredible place !!! Everything is premium and the center makes everything to make you comfortable. The jets are in the pool are really powerful and give you the best massages possible. Probably the best spa service I have experienced . Staff is lovely.

I travelled to Terre Blanche with my wife and two children. Prior to our stay my wife informed the hotel that she had a potentially life threatening allergy to flax seeds.
Our first meal at the resort we were served multi grain bread covered with flax seeds....we informed the kitchen of the mistake and they were rightly apologetic. Despite this, they served my wife the same bread at least 4 other times.
I have a (less serious) hazlenut allergy. I explicitly asked 2 waiters, who checked with the kitchen, whether the dessert was safe to eat. I was told "absolutely" no hazlenuts. I took one bite, and the thing was filled with nutella.
Frankly, they just don't get it and they are going to put someone in the hospital.
Despite my numerous complaints, and speaking to different managers, I was never offered anything beyond hollow apologies.
Beyond this major issue, lesser issues with the fact that AC barely worked in our room, and kiddie pool was infested with hornet nests.
And it's a joke to call this a 5-star resort. People are very nice, but they just aren't properly trained in the way you'd expect from a place this expensive.
On a positive, the area is nic
RESPONSE TO FALSE RESPONSE FROM OWNER:
My wife has a serious allergy and 100% completed the form indicating she had a flax seed allergy prior to arrival. And she carries medical cards that she hands staff.
You are correct that I did not indicate an allergy in advance. You are also correct that I had a choice of deserts, one of which looked like a snickers bar. I explicitly asked 2 different waitresses whether the nuts in that desert were hazlenut. They said 100% no and checked with the kitchen. I was not able to see the nutella filling the desert.
I'd advise not responding again. Thanks
Played the course with my father, 0930 tee time on Monday 25th July.
Fantastic course and facilities. Could improve in areas for first time guests, notably:
- signage and instructions on arrival for parking and pro shop sign in were non existent
- early tee off meant lots of fairways were watered heavily and balls plugged and didn’t run out
- would expect free practice balls as part of the very expensive green fee (5euros a bucket felt inappropriate).
Do make time to hit the performance centre before your round if you can. Fantastic.
Overall a great experience though. Would return.
Overrated hotel, the rooms are very average with a dark colour scheme and no real cosy feel - this was the king suite.
The lunch restaurant is quite dated and although the service was great, the venue was quite bland.
The director, Alain Mourges was very unreasonable and wanted to charge extra for a mental health disability when I brought my 2.5kg mini Maltese with me for my birthday. I explained how I’ve stayed at hotels far nicer such as St Tropez’s Lily of the Valley and Monte Carlo Hotel De Paris where they waived the extra €40 for a mental health assistance animal.
He persisted and said no and would rather I walked out the hotel on my birthday with no booking.
Awful and unreasonable service from Alain Mourgues. Not a friendly service at reception - another oriental looking lady was also very unfriendly about the whole thing.
The golf course was also underwhelming in condition - my husband is a professional golfer and was amazed how poor it was in contrast to other championship courses.
Wonderful resort with beautiful grounds and a real focus on providing friendly service. The only changes I would like to see them make is to keep the spa (and the spa pool) adults-only all day, as in the afternoon noisy kids make it impossible to relax, and I think they should not charge extra for the pool cabanas. We did get overcharged on our bill, but hopefully next time that won't happen.
Wow, what a disappointment! We booked a long weekend at the Terre Blanche resort with our son for Father's Day. The service was awful and the staff was rude. The food was mediocre at best. We definitely did not feel like we were at a 5-star …
Such is the scale of this resort that finding your individual villa could be tough. Fortunately regular golf carts driven by knowledgeable staff were on hand to shuttle me back and forth through the sprawling maze of paths and houses.
The villa itself was excellent, with a spacious and light living room, a pleasant bedroom and a bathroom hidden away at the end of a dressing area. A well-stocked minibar and multiple high-tech TVs were a nice touch, but a plug by the bed would have been even nicer.
Food at the clubhouse was excellent, but an emergency back home meant I had to leave before experiencing the bar or the breakfast. I'm sure they were each as good as the rest of the venue.
A spacious domain with ample privacy while at your own luxurious cottage (suite). Personnel is customer-oriented and friendly, as you may expect from a 5-star venue. The food experience is great and the hotel is right on the doorstep of two magnificent golf tracks. The service - as a result - does seem skewed towards an older customer group with the “kids’ kingdom” placed a good ten-minute walk away from the cottages. Not that you necessarily need to walk: just rong the reception and they will send you a (covid-proof) golf cart with driver to carry you off to your in-park destination. Beautiful pool area, but again: do not expect pool slides as (families with) young children are not at the core of their customer proposal.
